The basics
What is Arcus?
Arcus shows CMOs, founders and executives at entertainment and lifestyle brands where their marketing money is working. It connects what their teams know, from sales, CRM and fan data to ads and agency reports, with what people say online, in one place the brand owns, and answers any question with the whole picture. Arcus doesn’t make ads or buy media.
Who is Arcus for?
CMOs, marketing leads, founders and executives at studios, streamers, drinks, games, music, fashion and beauty brands. Especially teams whose data sits in pieces and who don’t have a data team of their own.
Is Arcus software or a service?
Both. Arcus is our own product, and our engineers set it up inside your systems and run it with you. You don’t get a login and a manual: we connect your data into one place inside your own setup and keep it running. You ask questions, and answers land in Slack, email or Sheets. What we build is yours to keep.
What do you connect?
Every system that holds a piece of your marketing: sales, tickets or sign-ups; players, viewers or app usage; email, CRM and customer data; retail and partner data; your ad and social accounts; agency reports; and any listening tool you already use. It all goes into one place you own.
Do we need a data team?
No. We do the data work. You get the answers.
Do you look at what people say online?
Yes. We read Reddit, TikTok, YouTube, X, Instagram, Facebook groups, Discord, Twitch, Kick, Google Search, Goodreads, Fable, reviews and more, count what comes up, and line it up with your own sales and customer data.
We don’t sell online. Is Arcus still for us?
Yes. Arcus works from whatever your results are: tickets, streams, sign-ups, viewing, retail sales or distributor depletions. We line up what each channel reports against those numbers, count each result once, and tell you where the data is too thin to call.
Most of our sales happen at retail. Can you still tell what worked?
Yes. We line campaigns up with the sales data you have, whether that’s retailer data, scan data or depletions from distributors, by week and by region. Retail data usually arrives later and in less detail, so some answers need a test where you run ads in some regions and pause them in others, then compare sales. We’ll say when.
Why line up listening with our own numbers?
Conversation on its own tells you what people say. Your own numbers tell you what they do. Lined up, you can see which topics, formats and creators move sales, tickets, sign-ups or streams, and which ones only get talked about.
Trying it free
What do we get when we try it free?
One question, answered with your own numbers and what people say online: which spend paid off, which posts work, what your audience says, or anything else you need to know. You get a few slides with the answer on top, ending on what to keep, test and stop, plus a 30-minute walkthrough.
What do you need from us?
Your question, access to the accounts it touches, and 30 minutes for the walkthrough. Usually that means your own numbers (sales, tickets, sign-ups or viewing) and any ad accounts involved.
Is it really free?
Yes. No card. If you want everything connected afterward, we talk about that then.
How long does it take?
We tell you the turnaround before we start, and email you when your answer is ready.
What happens after we try it free?
We walk you through it on a 30-minute call. If it’s useful, we scope the setup and the monthly work for your brand and send you a quote. If not, the answer is yours to keep.
Do our partners need to be involved?
If one of them has to grant access to an account your question touches, we tell you before we start. You decide who sees the answer.
What if our numbers are messy?
Most are. We work with what you have, note what’s missing, and tell you which findings are solid and which are directional. A gap in your data is a finding too.
Working with us
How long does setup take?
About three months from kickoff to everything connected. You approve each step, and answers arrive along the way.
What kinds of reports do you send?
Most answers fall into four kinds: spend reports, content reports, audience reports and market reports. You can ask anything else too. Each answer is a few slides with the answer on top and what to keep, test and stop at the end.
How often do reports come?
On a schedule you choose, or whenever you have a question.
Do we have to change our tools or partners?
No. We connect to what you already use.
How much does it cost?
Trying it is free. If you want everything connected after that, we scope the setup and the monthly work for your brand and quote it once you’ve seen your free answer. The Pricing page explains how it works.
What does a report look like?
A few slides. The answer is on top, then the evidence, then a short list of what to keep, test and stop. The last slide says what to know before quoting a number: small samples, missing data, anything that limits the call. In a real Arcus content report for a hard seltzer brand, that meant marking any content type with fewer than four posts as directional.
How much of our team’s time does this take?
Most of it comes at the start: a kickoff, access to the tools you use, and a few short calls during setup. After that, it’s asking questions, reading answers and a walkthrough when you want one.
Who on our team should be involved?
The person who owns the budget, usually a brand or marketing lead. During setup, it helps to have someone who can grant access to sales data, email or CRM, and ad accounts. Nobody needs to be technical.
What does a normal month look like once you’re set up?
Anyone on the team can ask a question when one comes up, like whether to book a creator again or what fans said about a launch. Answers land in Slack, email or Sheets, with a walkthrough if you want one. Regular answers arrive on the schedule you choose.
Data and trust
Is this the same as attribution?
No. Attribution hands out credit. We check whether the credit holds up: every reported result is matched against your own numbers, so each one counts once. When you need to know whether something caused a sale, we run a simple test: show it in some regions and not others, then compare.
Who checks the AI?
A person on our team reads every answer before you do and writes up what it means. The AI can only do jobs we’ve approved, and every step is logged.
Who sees our data?
We tell you who at Arcus will work with your data before we start, and you decide who else sees what we find. The Security page has the details.
What access do you need?
Access to the tools that hold your own numbers (sales, tickets, sign-ups or viewing), your email or CRM, your social accounts and the ad accounts you or your partners run. You approve exactly what we can access before we connect anything. When you try it free, we only need the accounts your question touches.
Where does our data live?
In one place you own, inside your own setup. Before we connect anything, we tell you what, if anything, we keep outside it. The Security page covers how we handle access, how every step is logged, and which jobs the AI is allowed to do.
Listening
Where do you listen?
Wherever your audience talks in public: Reddit, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, X, Threads, Bluesky, Facebook groups, Discord, Twitch, Kick, Google Search, Goodreads, Fable, Letterboxd, IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes, Steam, Roblox, Spotify and podcasts, Substack, Pinterest, reviews and trade press. We pick the places that matter for your brand.
How is this different from a sentiment dashboard?
We count specific things: the words people use, the formats they reward, the complaints that keep coming back. In a real Arcus audience report for a streaming service, we counted 6,622 comments and found one word in 62 was slang. A person checks the labels, because sarcasm and in-jokes fool automated sentiment. If you already have a listening tool, we plug it in.
What do you do with what you hear?
Turn it into what to make next. A real Arcus audience report for a streaming service ended with four rules for the brand’s voice, each backed by counts, like replying to fans’ jokes instead of starting your own. Where we can, we check a listening finding against your own numbers before you act on it.
What we won’t claim. Who it’s not for.
What we won’t claim
- That an ad caused a sale, unless we tested it
- Numbers we can’t trace back to a source
- Quotes or results we don’t have permission to show
- That anyone’s numbers are wrong before we’ve checked
Who it’s not for
- Teams whose analysts already connect every system, count each result once and read every comment
- Teams that can’t share any of their own numbers with us
- Teams that want a tool to set up and run on their own
